Core sample analysis

Avizo Fire® is an advanced 3D
visualization and analysis software application for
exploring core sample data sets. From straight forward
visualization and measurement to advanced image
processing, quantification and skeletonization, Avizo Fire
delivers an extensive set of tools addressing 2D and 3D
visualisation, rock characterization, reconstruction of 3D
rock models and pore networks analysis.
Major oil and gas companies, services companies, and
researchers use Avizo Fire to analyze core samples.
Avizo Fire imports any 2D or 3D images of any size and
resolution obtained from a broad range of sources e.g.
CT-scan, micro-CT, nano-CT, synchrotron, MRI, electron

Center in Hamburg.

HYDRO |
|
XLab Hydro is a extension of Avizo Fire software, which
provides numerical simulation capabilities to calculate
absolute permeability of a porous media, from a scanned sample
(CT, FIB/SEM, MRI, etc.). XLab Hydro directly computes
material properties from the segmented 3D image. The Stokes
equations are solved using a finite volume method, with no
need to extract a 3D mesh (for Finite Element simulation) or a
geometric skeleton (for Pore Network Modeling). |

and writers, computation modules, and even new visualization
modules, using the C++ programming language. |
